In this project I was asked by Create Please to draw four illustrations for four different soaps, made of different products and to relate the products with elements that represent the islands or places on the Azores.
This one represents the lagoon of Sete Cidades in São Miguel Island and three other elements, the bird "Estrelinha", the pinapple of the Azores and the flowers Hortensia.
The cow drinking from a tradicional ceramic cup of the Azores with the view from the tea fields and the representation of the Camelia sinensis the tea plant.
Pico island with representation of the whales by the whale tail and the Bermim do Pico flower that only grows on the top of Pico mountain, being an endemic plant.
The lagoon of Fire is the translation of the portuguese "Lagoa do Fogo", that from a certain perspective looks like a heart, with the "Mulher do Capote", representation of the famous clothing used some centuries back in the Azores islands and the plant that gives the color to the clothing, "pastel dos tintureiros" Isatis tinctoria L.
